Feel Into Fear: Sermon Miniseries

Fear is so pervasive in our lives and culture. Whether it is fear that prevents us from doing the next great thing in our lives to the fear that prevents us from standing up for what’s right in the culture or politics. To find that brave center, you first have to move through fear and find a sense of calm. Here’s two sermons that lean into the fear of that thing you’ve never done before and inspire you to go anyway.

“Feeling into Fear”¬†preached by Rev. Nicole Havelka on April 29, 2018 in Burkhart Chapel at First Community Church, Columbus, Ohio.

Toward the end of this sermon, I played this awesome music video set to Jana Stanfield’s song, “If I Were Brave.”

  1. Thanks, this meshes perfectly with my sermon prep for Sunday, David and Goliath and Jesus calming the storm. I plan to speak about ‘corporate’ fear. How we make one another fearful and can help make one another brave with our support and actions, trusting in God to hold our hand through it all.
